On 8 March, International Women's Day, "Female in March" returns to the Angelo Mai (from 7pm, Viale delle Terme di Caracalla55), one of the most representative and consolidated events in the cultural panorama of the Capital dedicated to female creativity and talent.

The event organized by the Female Cut social promotion association, now in its 14th edition, is even more necessary in a historical moment in which demands for the defense of the rights of women and all minorities are forcefully re-emerging: from equality to equal access to careers and decision-making centers;

from an education in affectivity that recognizes women as a person free to self-determine and say "no" to the fight against any form of violence;

from creativity as a tool of empowerment to the construction of a transversal alliance that sees women as active subjects of change.

   This year's theme is Artificial Intelligence, central to the contemporary debate, which seems to re-propose the dualism between apocalyptic and integrated: enthusiastic about the new discovery possibilities offered by cutting-edge technology or worried about the risks of the digital taking over the human.

A topic that involves all areas of life, public and private, with an unpredictable impact but certainly destined to revolutionize the space of existence, the perception of the world and - who knows - even interpersonal relationships.

If it weren't for the fact that the future has already come true in everyday life through the devices that we have integrated into our private sphere, questioning them on the most disparate issues (from weather forecasts to recipes, from listening to a playlist to consulting Wikipedia).

In the meantime, Chat Gpt is being refined to profile our musical tastes by offering us hyper-personalized selections and a giant of streaming platforms aims to incorporate the DJ function to mix different songs and genres through machine learning.

Hence, the reflection of "Female in March" on the ridge between art and technology, human and posthuman.

The underlying theme of the event will be the work "Ceci n'est pas une femme", created by Chiara Anaclìo in collaboration with Antonella Sciarra.

   The artwork, inspired by Magritte's surrealism and also created through artificial intelligence, plays on the deception of representation.

The question is therefore open: what does it mean to be a woman today?

And above all, what is a woman in our imagination? The form of communication chosen to stimulate critical thinking and network is music, a universal language capable of uniting and enhancing diversity.

There are over 50 artists involved in the relay that will continue all night, punctuated by the fusion of sounds, images and performative interventions.

Twenty-three DJs (Ale Ross, Angelica, Camilla Green, De-Monique, Efèe, Federica Sco, Flavia Lazzarini, Frida, Georgia Lee, Ida Mandato, Kick Milady, Lady Coco, Lapucci, La Reina del Fomento, Lola Marimba, Madame Tutù, Margot , Miz Kiara, Ninette, Non DjSelecta, Playgilrs From Caracas, Serena Thunderbolt, VioletMonkey) who will alternate in the consoles, veterans and emerging on the Roman scene which, among the first in Italy, saw its debut in the most important clubs, first of all the Piper, pioneers capable of establishing themselves in a context dominated by men thanks to their qualities and tenacity in breaking the mold.

The sound carpet that the protagonists of "Female in March" will weave, passing the baton to each other in a choral story made up of rhythms and emotions, will range across all musical genres: a rich kaleidoscope of the influences that inspired them and the research carried out by each.

In the interdisciplinary format that focuses on synesthesia and the mixture of expressive codes, Barbara Salvucci will take care of the video-artistic part with the intervention "The character is expressed" which uses the fonts of words to reflect on the female existential world.

The direction of the "visualscape", the visual landscape in unison with the music, is entrusted to Blu, Liz and Nur, while the DJs' affection will be punctuated with their insistent voices by Cee Blacksoul and Kristine von Trois.

   This year Female in March is in favor of Komen Italia for the fight against breast cancer and Angelo Azzurro onlus for the fight against the stigma of mental illness.

   Female in March is a female social promotion association that has been promoting the talent of women in Italy since 2008.

It has created thousands of highly attractive events, all dedicated to female production in various fields: music, art, video, performance, fashion and photography.

The mission is to give greater space to female creativity and raise awareness through new languages of a discussion on social and cultural issues such as female identity, violence against women, integration and equal opportunities.

   In recent years she has collaborated with numerous Italian associations and organizations that work in art and social issues, giving voice and space to hundreds of Italian and international artists.

Furthermore, in recent years Female Cut has had the support of: Embassy of the United States, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Firetrap, Jeep, Province of Rome, Redbull, Regione Lazio.
