France is organizing its first international security conference on March 13 and 14, the
“Paris Defense and Strategy Forum”
, modeled on the Munich conference and other major international security conferences.
The objective of this first edition, dedicated to Europe
"at the crossroads"
, is to
"allow French and European strategic thought to express itself"
, announced Thursday General Benoît Durieux, president of the Academ, the Defense Academy of the Military School.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda is expected at this meeting which will feature 63 round tables and other events involving officials from 68 nationalities, parliamentarians, diplomats and defense attachés, researchers and academics.
On the French side, the Minister of the Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu will open the conference, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Thierry Burkhard will close it.
22 defense company bosses will also be present.

Analysis and discussions on lessons from the war in Ukraine, the Mediterranean, the Pacific, African issues, the new situation in the Baltic Sea, army models, disinformation, human resources, the future of security architectures , from NATO, will be proposed.
Academ, created in the fall of 2023, brings together around twenty research organizations, training courses and think tanks participating in the strategic debate in Europe.
