With the deposition of the father of the friend of the main accuser, the closed-door trial resumed this morning in Tempio Pausania for the alleged gang sexual assault of Ciro Grillo and three of his Genoese friends, Vittorio Lauria, Edoardo Capitta and Francesco Corsiglia.

The man is answering the questions of the prosecutor Gregorio Capasso, then the word will pass to the lawyers of the defense pool.

"He had panic attacks, he wasn't the same person anymore, he isolated himself."

The father of the second alleged victim of sexual violence of which Ciro Grillo, Vittorio Lauria, Francesco Corsiglia and Edoardo Capitta are accused, the girl who was photographed while sleeping on the sofa in the living room of the villa in Porto Cervo owned by the Grillo family, concluded his deposition in the courtroom at Tempio Pausania.

Over an hour of questions posed to the man by the public prosecutor Gregorio Capasso and the pool of defense lawyers, to which he responded by focusing on the psychological situation of his daughter immediately after discovering that she had been a victim of abuse on the night between the 16th and 17th July 2019 in Costa Smeralda.

After the lunch break the hearing, again behind closed doors, will continue with the testimony of the sister of the main accuser of the four.

The young woman who will take the witness stand, now an adult, was 15 years old in 2019.

The parent must clarify the emotional and psychological state of his daughter, a Milanese girl who was injured and presumed victim of some sexual photographs that were allegedly taken of her on the night between 16 and 17 July 2019 when she was sleeping on the sofa of the house in property of the Grillo family in Porto Cervo.

The young woman, also a student and former friend of the Italian-Norwegian girl who reported the alleged rape, did not realize that she had been immortalized by the four with their cell phones.

In fact, the images emerged only after the seizure of the defendants' phones and the acquisition of all the material they contained, including the videos and shots posted on the social networks of the four.

The Milanese student has already been heard by the panel chaired by judge Marco Contu, a sometimes dramatic testimony in which she told how her life had been turned upside down after learning that she had been a victim of abuse.

Once the parent's hearing is concluded, the sister of the main accuser, aged 15 at the time, and the psychiatrist Pablo Zuglian, an expert in eating disorders who is treating the Italian-Norwegian girl, will be called to testify.

Due to the impossibility of having a translator in the courtroom, the deposition in English of another Norwegian friend of the complainant, with whom there was an exchange of messages in the days following the alleged violence, has been postponed until tomorrow.

Feminists in the square in Tempio for March 8th

They chose Tempio Pausania, site of the trial for the alleged gang rape involving Ciro Grillo and three of his Genoese friends, to demonstrate on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.

The associations Non una di meno Nord Sardegna, Prospettiva Donna, Noi donne 2005, Movimento Omosexual Sardo and other feminist groups will take to Piazza Gallura at 10.30 to focus on the urgency of combating the secondary victimization of women who have suffered violence.

In particular, the focus is on the extensive coverage given by the press to the ongoing trial - hearings today and tomorrow - with the cross-examination between the defense lawyers of the 4 defendants and the two alleged victims, the Italian-Norwegian student who denounced the facts and the then her Milanese friend, who was with her in the Grillo villa in Porto Cervo on the night of the summer of 2019.

The promoters of the demonstration announce that they intend to express solidarity with the main accuser by also displaying banners in the square.

"Still too often - they denounce - gender violence is normalized and women, who have the courage to report, are re-victimized, so much so that the European Court of Human Rights has repeatedly condemned Italy for its failure to protect victims of violence gender".
