The construction industry is known as a particularly male industry - from the various construction sites scattered throughout the country to stores selling building materials.

However, if you come to the Menashe Building Materials store in Herzliya, you will be in for a surprise.

The store is managed by Usherat, who has not always felt a connection to this world.

"I came to this world by accident," Osherat says.

"My husband opened the store together with a partner, who eventually decided to leave. I knew he needed help, and to help him, I decided to enter the business and help him run the store. In the first months, I didn't know much about this world, but I learned a lot on the go."

The beginning of Osherat's path in an all-male world was not easy.

"Customers were surprised to see a woman in a hardware store," she says.

"There were those who did not believe that I could help them and looked for my husband. But over time I gained experience and knowledge, and the clients learned to value me. Today, some of our regular clients know that I can give them the best service."

"If someone calls the store, they immediately ask for a man to help them"

"I really like this world," Osherat adds.

"This is despite the fact that he is very unfeminine. In fact, the percentage of my work with women is almost zero and sometimes men treat me in a not very nice way. If someone calls the store, they immediately ask for a man to help them."

Osherat does everything from everything in the business;

She serves as a salesperson, consultant and also manages the accounts, handles the bureaucracy and faces all the challenges involved in running a business.

"I really enjoy my job," says Usherat.

"I love the challenges, the relationship with the clients and the feeling of satisfaction I get when I manage to help them. I believe that women can succeed in any field, even in fields that are considered masculine."

"Finally, I always recommend using a professional if you're not sure how to fix or fix something," Osherat concludes.

Osherat's story is an inspiring story, an inspiring story about a woman who is not afraid to take on challenges and does not hesitate to jump into unfamiliar waters.

She is a role model for many women who want to succeed in fields that are considered traditionally for men.
