According to police information from Wednesday, March 6th, the fire in the hall in Neu-Ulm at the end of February resulted in estimated damage of over 100,000 euros.
The 56-year-old craftsman suffered smoke inhalation while trying to put out the fire.
It is believed that the suspected arsonist was present in the hall during school hours.
The police are investigating a 15-year-old student for serious arson and bodily harm.
The teenager was initially released.
