Former president

Mauricio Macri

visited the Expoagro exhibition in San Nicolás this Thursday and asked Javier Milei to lower withholdings on the countryside, warning that

"it is a harmful tax"

and that the president "knows it."

"The Government knows this. It knows that it is a very harmful tax that

must be eliminated

as soon as possible. I hope that

we all have the patience and support

, but clearly the countryside needs to deregulate, have better infrastructure, better logistics and lower taxes to generate more work and more exports," he said at a press conference.

Macri, who in the coming days will once again assume leadership of the PRO, also took the opportunity to leave

a message to the

provincial governors a few hours before the first meeting with the Executive regarding the May Pact that Milei called.

"Let's say that the times in which I had to govern I did not have that collaboration, but I hope that we have all matured because if we continue doing the same things we will do just as badly as in the last 40 years and

we hope that everyone agrees

to make Argentina a normal country," he emphasized.
