The signs are increasing: In the case of the insolvent Arena-Mittenwald-GmbH, insolvency proceedings seem possible.

Mittenwald

– According to lawyer Dr.

Robert Hänel, then we could get started.

“I am of the opinion that insolvency proceedings can be opened.” Because there is enough assets to cover the costs of the proceedings.

The lawyer is targeting the insolvent Arena-Mittenwald-GmbH, which ceased operations in the municipality's own ice stadium in December 2023.

In January, Hänel received a mandate as a so-called expert from the responsible local court in Weilheim.

Since then, the man has been taking a close look at everything in difficult cases.

Now his report is complete.

He will submit his expertise to the district court this week.

If Justitia follows his recommendation, Hänel could probably soon be officially appointed as insolvency administrator of Arena-Mittenwald-GmbH.

According to the leasehold agreement, this company is actually allowed to market the municipal ice stadium on the Isarauen until 2031.

The Mittenwald market has an increased interest in everything going its own way.

This is one of the reasons why Mayor Enrico Corongiu (SPD) asked the expert from Peißenberg to speak to the local council.

Last week, Hänel discussed the individual scenarios behind closed doors.

“Now we know the options,” says the town hall boss.

Whether the municipality will make use of the right of reversion - the property goes back to the owner with all rights and obligations - is still up in the air.

“The basis for the decision is not sufficient,” says Corongiu.

In a few days, when the insolvency proceedings are opened, he will certainly know more.
