The Miesbach district does not have a district home guardian until further notice.
No decision was made in the district council.
A job advertisement is now planned.

- A successor for district home care officer Benno Bauer, who retired in 2023 after twelve years of volunteer work, is still not in sight.
At the most recent district council meeting, District Administrator Olaf von Löwis (CSU) announced that he would start a tender process.
This is how the district had handled the search for a new district representative for the disabled in the past.
The schedule is still open.
Dissatisfaction with selection procedures
The new district home care officer was actually supposed to be confirmed at the meeting.
The district councilors already had a name.
But: “The original proposal was met with criticism,” said CSU parliamentary group spokesman Christian Köck, indicating a certain dissatisfaction with the selection process.
There was too little insight into the field of applicants.
You should therefore act like neighboring districts and bring the candidates to the district committee for presentation after an advertisement.
He could then decide.
“The district council shouldn’t be involved in this at all,” said Köck.
The district council must make the decision
The district administrator objected.
The district home care worker receives financial compensation for his work, and therefore, according to the compensation statutes, the district council must decide.
The job advertisement has not yet been formulated and the scope of work has not yet been outlined.
“There are districts with only one district home guardian, but you can also appoint several,” answered district architect Christian Boiger in response to a corresponding question from the committee.
“Ideally, the tasks are bundled by one person.”
