The Dachau district court imposed a fine on a riot police officer who had exposed a colleague with a photo montage.

Dachau – A police officer from the Dachau riot police has been sentenced by the Dachau district court to a fine of 3,400 euros for insulting him.

His victim: a colleague who had just started her training.

Perpetrators and victims served in the same hundred

The perpetrator (41) and the victim (28) served in the same group but did not yet know each other.

On September 5th last year they practiced how to handle climate adhesives.

The 28-year-old acted like an activist.

It was her first exercise.

Three colleagues in uniform stood around her.

A fourth took a photo and posted it in the hundred's WhatsApp chat group.

The account, half business, half private.

The defendant then couldn't think of anything stupider than using the photo shop on his cell phone to place the logo of a porn site on the photo.

He also wrote the sentence: “This is what an introduction should look like.” He sent the photomontage to another colleague, who in turn showed the creation around.

It's no surprise that the 28-year-old also saw the photomontage.

And no one can blame her for reporting her less artistically talented colleague.

Police officers pour their hearts out to the court

During the main hearing, she shared her thoughts with the court.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she said.

“I thought, what situation is a colleague putting me in right now, with whom I would have to go through thick and thin on the street?!” And: “Are all colleagues in the unit like that?

Is that the way to deal with it?” She cried a lot.

Today she has “partially processed” the matter.

However: She rejected the apology offered in court - with the words: "What use is an apology to me if I've lived through it like that?!"

The defendant also cried a lot.

In the courtroom.

“Why did I do that?

I don’t know,” he said.

With this “rashness, this nonsense,” as his defense attorney Hartmut Wächtler called it, the defendant really ruined his police career.

“I had to leave my train and am no longer allowed to work in my hundred,” he said.

Gone is my career as a police diver.

On top of that, a promotion ban hinders them.

His lawyer pleaded for acquittal.

It is a semi-private photo.

Wächtler argued that the porn logo could also refer to men; it was up to the viewer's imagination.

His conclusion: “It has not been proven that there was any disparagement.”

The prosecutor and judge Stefan Lorenz saw it completely differently.

The prosecutor demanded a conviction.

The chairman expressed them in his judgment.

According to Lorenz, it is “far from me” to see the 41-year-old’s actions as anything other than a devaluation of the victim.
