Russia's security services thwarted an ISIS attack on a synagogue in Moscow/RIA
Russia's security services said today (Thursday) that they thwarted an attack on a synagogue in Moscow by a cell of the "Islamic State" (ISIS) organization.
According to the official media in Russia, which quoted the security services, the members of the cell "were planning to carry out a terrorist attack against one of the Jewish religious institutions in Moscow."
It was also reported that the suspects opened fire at the security forces during an attempt to arrest them "and were neutralized".
In the documentation from the scene, bodies of suspects were seen next to weapons and ammunition.
