It is a rather sordid affair which the Meaux criminal court looked into this Wednesday morning.
A 52-year-old British man was on trial for, among other things, “corruption of a minor under 15” and “habitual consultation of an online public communication service making available the pornographic image or representation of a minor”.
Clearly, this resident of a town north of Birmingham was accused of having shown videos of his genitals to a 9-year-old girl on a bus on January 30 and of consulting a site where one can observe naked children.
For the little victim and her family, originally from the south of France, the outing to Disneyland Paris turned from dream to nightmare in just a few seconds on the evening of January 30.
Around 8:15 p.m., personnel from the Lagny-Chessy national police station were called to an altercation between two passengers on a bus traveling between the amusement park and the hotel zone.
One of the travelers slapped the other, breaking his glasses in the process.
When they intervene, the latter is busy deleting videos on his cell phone.
In front of the police, he ended up admitting the facts
In fact, the man who hit him is the father of a little girl who has just told him while crying that the man on the bus showed him images of his genitals... Furious, the father runs away. is therefore taken from this British traveler who claims to understand nothing about the situation.
When the police take his phone, they see that it is trash that appears on his screen.
The Englishman was then placed in police custody, while a search was carried out in his hotel room.

At first, he denied the facts.
Then, faced with the information discovered in his laptops and his tablet by a specialized investigator, he finally broke down.
The man, who is not known to the British authorities, regularly consults a naturism site and admits to masturbating in front of images of naked children... Concerning the little girl, he admits that he showed her videos of his penis in the bus but so that she stops staring at him.
In any case, this is the explanation he gave to the police.
At the end of his police custody, he was placed in pre-trial detention while awaiting trial in the context of an immediate appearance with a deferred deadline scheduled for this Wednesday.
In the end, he was given a four-year suspended prison sentence.
He was banned from carrying out activities involving minors and registered with the Fijais, the register of perpetrators of sexual and violent offenses.
He will also have to pay 2,000 euros in damages to the victim's father for moral damage and 372 euros for material damage.
