On Thursday there was a fire in a room in the state reception center in Suhl.
There are several injured and hundreds have to leave the building.
It is still unclear what will happen next for her.
Suhl - Six people were injured in a fire at the Suhl state reception center.
They were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation, a police spokeswoman said on Thursday.
According to the police, these are residents and security guards.
The media had previously reported.
The fire broke out in a room on Thursday morning for an unknown reason, the spokeswoman said.
Between 400 and 500 people were then taken out of the affected building.
They are currently housed in a canteen.
The fire department's work has now been completed.
The criminal police are now on site and are investigating the cause of the fire, it was said at midday.
The spokeswoman said it is still unclear whether the room, floor or building is still habitable.
The room burned down completely.
The question of whether people have to be distributed to other facilities at short notice is still being clarified.
A spokeswoman for the responsible state administration office initially did not provide any information on this when asked.
Fire unlikely from outside
The police said it was unlikely that the fire would start from outside.
The affected room is on the fourth floor and the area is fenced off.
Instead, the cause could be a technical defect or an internal fire.
But all of this must now be determined.
There have been repeated incidents in the chronically overcrowded state reception center in recent times.
There were also repeated complaints about the hygienic conditions and dilapidated buildings.
The former women's clinic at the Wismut Hospital in Gera is intended to provide relief; according to previous information, around 200 people could be accommodated there.
But the move-in had been postponed again and again.
According to the spokeswoman for the state administration office, it was still unclear on Thursday whether people from Suhl would be brought there at short notice.
On Wednesday, around 80 people protested in front of the accommodation.
The meeting, which is registered until Sunday, was led by a well-known right-wing actor in the city.
According to police, a handful of people were still on site on Thursday morning.
