After an agreement, this Wednesday, between the government of Pedro Sánchez and the Catalan independentists to give way in Congress to
a controversial amnesty law
, the Justice Commission
approved the text this Thursday,
overcoming the last obstacle for Parliament to approve the norm next week.
Pedro Sánchez thus sees governability guaranteed in exchange for enormous and controversial concessions to his uncomfortable Catalan independence partners.
"No to amnesty" also in English to appeal to the international community against the law.

The new amendments to the law have been voted on separately and have seen the green light with
20 votes in favor and 17 against,
with the votes in favor of the PSOE and its parliamentary partners and the vote against the PP and Vox.
