The prices in the Gautinger summer pool are rising significantly this year.
On Tuesday evening, the local council decided on new tariffs and a local rule - this must be legally examined.

- The admission prices for the Gauting summer pool will rise between 25 and 50 percent, in one case by 100 percent - that's what the local council decided on Tuesday evening.
“If we increase the deficit any further, we will have to close the pool,” warned Mayor Dr.
Brigitte Kössinger in the debate.
In addition to tariff increases, there are cuts: the 50 percent discount for active swimmers at the Gautinger Sports Club, but also the free tickets for pool residents are no longer available.
Kössinger emphasized that preserving the 50-year-old Gautinger summer pool is important.
But given the deficit of more than a quarter of a million euros, “we have to increase prices”.
Some examples: The single ticket for adults increases from six to eight euros, for children and young people from 2.50 to 3.50 euros.
According to the meeting proposal, the price for the seasonal family ticket for a parent with children should rise from 100 to 150 euros and the tariff for the student summer holiday ticket from 20 to 40 euros.
These cost increases primarily affect Gautinger families who cannot afford vacation, Stephanie Pahl (MiFü) called for a general increase of only 20 percent.
This means that the deficit is just passed on to the citizens instead of closing the hot water basin and saving on energy consumption.
If Gauting wanted to afford a bathroom, prices would have to rise, as in the district town, countered Max Platzer (CSU).
An increase in the adult ticket from six to eight euros is definitely justifiable.
It is not acceptable for the local councilors to first advocate for tariff increases during budget discussions “only to then back down again afterwards,” criticized the CSU parliamentary group spokesman.
Kössinger recalled the outdoor pool deficit of 266,235 euros.
Foreign tariffs must be legally examined
“The worst thing would be the closure,” said Franz Jaquet (CSU) from the Sommerbad support association.
But especially students and families with children who are supposed to learn to swim and “who come to the outdoor pool on foot or by bike” would be “the most burdened” by the tariff increases, complained Tobias Mc Fadden (MfG/Pirates).
At the suggestion of Florian Egginger (CSU), the administration should therefore examine the admissibility of a local tariff like in Germering: the seasonal bathing ticket for adults from outside would then increase from 100 to 150 euros, but for locals only to 120 euros, i.e. by 20 percent, the council decided unanimously.
If the local tariff is not permitted, it remains at 150 euros.
Free tickets for pool residents and 50 percent discounts for swimmers from the Gautinger Sports Club were canceled without replacement.
“Anyone who is in favor of maintaining our summer pool should buy the annual pass,” Kössinger appealed to all users of the popular Gautinger sports and leisure facility.
