Ran Erez, chairman of the teachers' organization/Maariv
Ran Erez, chairman of the upper elementary teachers' organization, spoke today (Thursday) with Liat Ron and Aryeh Malinyak on 103FM about his next steps, against the background of the delayed negotiations with the Ministry of Finance, and clarified: "As of Sunday we stop giving grades of any kind which is in every profession."
According to him, "Teachers were evacuated to all kinds of places, schools were broken up.
They take advantage of us, blackmail us, they think that if there is a war and we are conscientious people, we will sit quietly, but our conscience also requires us to act for the teachers and students."

"This is a very capitalist government," Erez said.
"For a year and a half from February 2022 until the start of the school year, only questions were asked, we are now in March, without progressing in even one section. We can no longer wait, we have an obligation to the education system and the teachers and starting next Sunday we are renewing the struggle."
Regarding the criticism of the timing of the sanctions, he claimed: "In the middle of this war, the theaters were opened, people go to parties, people travel abroad, everything is almost normal, except for the evacuees in the north and south, but even in the south they are almost slowly returning to their jobs, you can't keep waiting That way because there will always be something."

In a statement from the teachers' organization, they reinforced Erez's words and said that they had decided to renew the struggle.
"After procrastinating for a year and a half, it was decided to open the school year on September 1, 2023 in light of the commitment of the Ministries of Finance and Education to conduct negotiations and conclude by December 1, so far we have not made any progress and we are in the same situation as we were two years ago," said the organization.
"In light of this, the management decided The teachers' organization to renew the professional struggle, and from this coming Sunday 10.3 grades of any kind in any subject will not be given to school administrations, educational networks, various databases.
The tests will be held in order and the teachers will evaluate the students, but no grades will be given."
