From April onwards, the gastronomy scene in the eastern district will be shaken up.

New innkeepers introduce themselves in Gröbenzell, Geiselbullach and Esting.

However, some of them are already old friends.

Gröbenzell/Olching – The town hall and brewery have done their homework, now the old school can open again.

The restaurant in the heart of Gröbenzell, which has been closed for just over a month, will be restarted from April 1st under the direction of Daniel Cornea.

The municipal administration as the building owner and the Paulaner beer suppliers from Munich have agreed on this.

The restaurateur had most recently run the Amperlust restaurant in Esting for four years.

The 48-year-old and his wife Bianca come from Romania, but have long since found their second home in Gröbenzell.

They also had a career in the restaurant on Kirchenstrasse, which they ran under the name Etiquette, before taking over the Amperlust restaurant in Esting in 2020.

Return from Esting to Gröbenzell

Now the trained chef and his wife are returning to Gröbenbach and moving into the Old School on Rathausstrasse, where international and Bavarian specialties are offered.

To ensure the ambience is right, renovations are currently underway.

From April 1st it will be open every day except Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On weekends there is a breakfast menu from 10:30 a.m. and a discounted lunch with two dishes from Tuesday to Friday.

Every last Saturday of the month, the new landlord couple plans a four-course menu evening with live music.

While Daniel Cornea is preparing to leave Esting, his predecessor is returning to the Amperlust restaurant, which is particularly popular with excursionists and family celebrations: Amir and his sister Remzija Dzinic are fulfilling a heartfelt wish with their comeback planned for April 6th.

The family of Croatian origin had already taken over the business managed by the shooting club of the same name in 2015, but then had to give it up and hand it over to Cornea five years later due to the Corona crisis.

Old friends in Amperlust

“They had tears in their eyes when they had to leave,” recalls former shooting champion Karin Walch.

Now the 48-year-old and his sister are back.

Especially in summer, the restaurant, which is located directly on the Amper, is a popular stop for cyclists and walkers on the river meadows between Olching and Esting because of its beer garden.

Beer from the Tegernsee brewery will continue to be served.

The clubhouse at TSV Geiselbullach is also being revitalized.

The former Volveré will be called Vis-à-vis from the beginning of April and - as promised by TSV President Marc-Immo Halscheidt after it was closed at the end of December - will be opened in time for the start of the second half of the football season.

New gastronomic concept in Geiselbullach

The restaurant will be open from the beginning of April under the management of Christian Kuha (53) from Olching and his partner Torsten Naumann (45) from Gröbenzell.

Kuha has gained many years of gastronomic experience in a tavern in Allach.

The exact gastro concept for Geiselbullach will only be officially presented after further discussions with the club management and members.
