The Giordano Dell'Amore Social Venture Foundation, the operational arm of the Cariplone Foundation for investments with social and environmental impact (impact investing), has invested 250 thousand euros in C.Next, the 'newco' of a national eco-system of innovation hubs.
This can be read in a note which indicates that C.Next works to develop a "network dedicated to innovation" on a national and international level.
ComoNext - InnovationHub, promoted in 2010 thanks to a contribution from FondazioneCariplo, hosts 150 innovative companies.
Within the next 7 years, C.Next aims to become "the strategic and operational hub for over a thousand innovative companies" with the aim of involving over 15 thousand knowledge workers within a network of 12 Innovation Hubs present on the national territory and one abroad.
The first hub of the system is already active and is based in Ivrea at the former Olivetti factories (Unesco heritage);
other partnerships have been launched in various areas including: Novara (Ada, Area De Agostini), Arese (ex Alfa Romeo area) and AscoliPiceno.
