The state-of-the-art Russian T-14 main battle tank is missing from the Ukraine war.
The head of the defense company Rostec explains why.
Moscow – It is considered the pride of the Russian tank fleet.
But strangely enough, Russia's newest main battle tank, the T-14, or more sonorously known as the Armata, has apparently only appeared briefly in the war of aggression against Ukraine.
According to the head of the Russian arms company Rostec, there is a simple reason for this: the military equipment is simply too expensive.
According to the head of the arms company, Russia's Aramata super tank is too expensive for use in Ukraine
Sergei Chemezov, general director of the company, told the state news agency
RIA Novosti
that in terms of functionality the Armata is far superior to other tanks.
However, it was too expensive to produce for use in the Ukraine war, “so the army probably won’t use it now.
It is easier for them to buy the existing T-90s.” Now, however, Rostec needs money to produce more and cheaper tanks, Chemezov said: “So if there is a way to buy cheaper weapons, why not?”

This theory is particularly bitter for the Russian president.
Putin never misses an opportunity to praise the superior weapons with which his troops are being equipped against the West.
As British intelligence speculates on
Putin uses other new superweapons in the Ukraine war
Nevertheless, Putin continues to deploy new military technology on the front lines in the war against Ukraine.
Recently he apparently fired a real super weapon with the Kinschal hypersonic missile.
But there are also other, almost mythical pieces of war that, similar to the Armata, have not yet been spotted in Ukraine, such as the AI-controlled self-propelled howitzer 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV.
