One more step in favor of victims of domestic violence (VIF) in Val-d'Oise, a department at the forefront in this fight.
They will now be able to file a complaint directly with health establishments in Val-d'Oise.
A protocol for welcoming and supporting victims was signed this Thursday at the prefecture with the Pontoise public prosecutor's office, the department's health establishments and the departmental council.
The ambition is to improve the revelation of the facts, better inform victims of their rights, adapt the terms of filing a complaint with the possibility of bringing in an investigator, also facilitate the carrying out of the medico-legal examination and clarify the question of child care.
“This is progress for the victims”, announced Wednesday Prisca Thévenot, minister delegate spokesperson for the government, visiting the Moulin de Pont Rû, a place which helps women victims of violence, in Bray-et-Lû .
She was traveling to welcome another major step forward: the vote the day before in the National Assembly on the order for immediate provisional protection for victims of domestic violence (Oppi).
