The Russian security services (FSB) said Thursday they had killed a Belarusian national accused of planning an attack on an administrative building in Russia, for the benefit of Ukraine.
Born in 1974, the suspect, accused of having been recruited by the Ukrainian special services, was a member of a nationalist regiment of Belarusian volunteers who fought alongside Kiev forces, according to an FSB press release.

He was preparing to detonate a homemade device in an administrative building in the town of Olonets, in the Russian region of Karelia (north), the statement said.

Since the start of the Russian offensive in Ukraine in February 2022, Russia has announced that it has foiled hundreds of sabotage attempts, particularly on civilian infrastructure, and has arrested dozens of people for these reasons.
