The
long-awaited visit
of the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, to the bicameral Legislative Procedure commission that defines the fate
of President Javier Milei's mega DNU
,
will have to wait
.
With a last-minute maneuver, the
ruling party postponed the presence of both officials
who would only be summoned once all the decrees of necessity and urgency that were pending from the administration of Alberto Fernández (2019-2023) are debated.
This was revealed by
Omar De Marchi
, the former deputy from Mendoza who was appointed as Secretary of Parliamentary Relations and with Civil Society, that is, the link between Congress and the Casa Rosada.
"The President of the Bicameral of Legislative Procedures (DNU), postponed invitations to officials of the Executive Branch until they define a new work schedule, which includes invitations to former officials to explain the DNUs of Alberto Fernández not yet approved (there are 108) "De Marchi explained.

The man from Mendoza showed on his networks the letter he received from Rioja senator Juan Carlos Pagotto, head of the Bicameral, dated yesterday, Wednesday, March 6, but which was only known with the post of the Milei official.
In it, he reports that in two notes senators and deputies asked to modify the agenda, in which it was planned to hear from Posse and Caputo, to discuss the DNU that are without ruling.
"Based on both notes, I let you know that the aforementioned summons that we sent to you are postponed until the order of treatment of all the DNU that are sent to the commission is decided," Pagotto says in a note to the Chief of Staff. by Milei.
Also summoned to the commission, according to what was announced, were the Secretaries of State Transformation and Public Function, Armando Guibert;
and of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing, Fernando Vilella.
Added to them are the Secretary of Labor, Omar Yasin, the Minister of Health, Mario Russo;
and the director of the ANSeS, Mariano de los Heros.
The officials who had been summoned to the DNU bicameral commission.
The decision to postpone the summons to Posse, Caputo and the rest of Javier Milei's officials for later responds to a claim presented by Hernán Lombardi, of the PRO, who is vice president of the Bicameral, together with senators Luis Juez, Víctor Zimmermann, Juan Carlos Romero and deputy Francisco Monti.
"As Vice President of the DNU monitoring commission, I presented a request for all pending DNUs to be dealt with in tomorrow's session chronologically," announced Lombardi, who maintained that for him "it is absolutely irregular that more than 100 accumulate. DNU without resolution and without treatment in Congress. "We must reorganize the institutional functioning that Kirchnerism left abandoned," he added.

Villarruel's strategy to avoid an almost certain defeat
Milei and Villarruel arrive at Congress to open the sessions.

In parallel, Vice President
Victoria Villarruel
continues not to respond to the requests of Unión por la Patria and the federal blocs to call a session in the Senate in order to address the legality of the deregulation decree that the President signed in last December and which modifies more than 300 laws.
All this occurs in the prelude to the meeting that the Government called for Friday with the governors in which it will seek to draw up "a roadmap" with a view to the so-called "May Pact", which Milei launched at the opening of the session and which is conditional on the approval of the Bases Law that will enable a fiscal pact with the provinces.
Villarruel remains firm and is betting that with the presentation of the officials he can calm at least the provincial senators who maintain their request for a session.
It is clear that the vice president
does not call because she wants to avoid a defeat on the premises
.
But to the rejection of Unión por la Patria, which has 33 senators of its own, was also added the pressure of the 9 representatives of the federal benches and even the claim of radicalism.
The numbers show 42 votes against, which
conditions the ruling party's move to delay the discussion in the bicameral
to avoid the venue.
