Ukraine manages to destroy Russian ships with relatively simple, small sea drones.
What makes “Magura V5” so dangerous?
Munich – Ukraine was apparently able to destroy two Russian warships within three weeks.
On February 14th, the large landing ship “Caesar Kunikov” sank off the Crimea, and on March 5th the corvette “Sergei Kotov” suffered serious damage.
In both cases, maritime drones were used successfully.

As far as the technical characteristics of “Magura V5” are concerned, the manufacturer, a Ukrainian company called SpecialTechnoExport (STE), is keeping a low profile.

Accordingly, the maximum range of “Magura-V5” sea drones is 833 kilometers and the maximum speed is 42 knots (78 km/h).
The length of the surface ships is 5.5 meters and they can transport 320 kilograms.

The Directorate of Military Intelligence of Ukraine purchased “Magura V5” and continued to develop it.
According to
the Kyiv Post,
remote control systems were installed and explosive charges were modified on objects.
A video that is supposed to show the attack of such drones on the “Caesar Kunikov” documents that it is hardly possible to repel an attack from several “Magura V5s”.
“Up to ten drones are used in each attack, which allows you to approach the target from different directions, distribute roles in the group and determine the order of the attack.
Not a single Russian ship will be able to repel such an attack today,” Roman Svitan, military expert and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told
