No studio audience will be invited to Andy Borg's future hit shows either - now the SWR is explaining why the "Schlager-Fun with Andy Borg" is foregoing live viewers.

Offenburg - During the corona pandemic, it was common for TV shows to be recorded without a live audience - “Schlager-Fun mit Andy Borg” also did without studio viewers during this time.

But SWR is still not inviting any visitors to the Schlager studio today - now

IPPEN.MEDIA

has found out the reasons.

New concept: SWR reveals the reasons behind the lack of Schlager audience for Andy Borg

On Saturday evening (March 9, 2024), fans of Schlager and folk music will get their money's worth again, as SWR is showing a new episode of "Schlager-Fuß mit Andy Borg".

The hit show that was actually planned for February 17th was pushed back by almost a month.

The February episode of Andy Borg was canceled because a concert by pop legend Helene Fischer was shown instead.

reports that a new episode of the popular folk music show will be recorded on March 22nd - and again there will be no live audience for this show.

When asked by

IPPEN.MEDIA,

a SWR spokesman replied: “The Corona requirements meant that the 'Schlager-Fun mit Andy Borg' took place for the first time without a studio audience.

Based on this experience, we decided to adapt the concept of the show with an eye on the audience in the studio.”

“Schlager fun with Andy Borg”: Celebrities replace studio viewers

“Now, unlike before, the artists and musicians involved in the show are guests in Andy Borg's wine bar and participate throughout the entire show.

This gives the show a nice community feel and fits the mood well.

The television audience can benefit because they can now see their favorites throughout the entire broadcast,” explains SWR, explaining its decision with regard to “Schlager-Fun mit Andy Borg”.

The fans would get their money's worth more than ever.

In addition to his moderation work, the folk music icon himself is also a welcome guest at other music events.

For example, it is rumored that Andy Borg (63) will be seen at Florian Silbereisen's (42) hit anniversary on March 16, 2024.
