The foolish time in Peißenberg ended with the traditional “Thank You Day” of the carnival society.

In a full underground tunnel hall, we looked back and celebrated extensively one last time.

Peißenberg – “What kind of season was that?”, Frohsinn board member Thomas Rößle started the colorful program.

“An extremely short carnival season.

Short but sweet,” he added, looking back on the many highlights of the past few months.

From the Black and White Ball to the “legendary women’s carnival”, he had something to tell the many guests about every event.

Soon he was fully in his element, throwing around words of praise and ultimately came to a clear conclusion: “Frohsinn 2000” is “the hottest club in the district”.

Resounding applause filled the building.

“We're also filling the halls internally,” he said with a wink to the more than three hundred people present.

In the meantime, he declared the hearty buffet open, whereupon those present gratefully ate more than four hundred white sausages, wieners and pretzels.

While the first ones were busy eating their lunch, the guards marched in to gather on the stage, accompanied by music and rhythmic clapping.

Rößle proudly announced that 120 active dancers and 16 trainers are now active.

Each guard had also prepared their own performance and demonstrated their skills to loud applause.

Dwarfs, men's guards, dancing moms, princes' guards as well as mini and teen dancers were allowed to let off steam on stage one last time at the end of the carnival season.

Afterwards, their trainers had their say, praising the commitment and dedication of their protégés and talking about the numerous appearances at balls and parades.

Of course, we also gave each other gifts.

While some were happy to receive high-quality drinking bottles, others received flowers.

But the dancers of the men's guard also beamed.

As befits their status, they were handed a small beer.

Thomas Rößle thanked all those who helped: “It’s crazy what you do”

After the first three appearances, the board took over again and intended to award a few more awards themselves.

Ultimately, those responsible not only appreciated the commitment of the Gardens, including their trainers, whom they praised as the “heart and soul of the club”, but also honored the active participation of the many helpers in the background, “who you never see because For example, they stand behind the dishwasher,” the board members emphasized respectfully and waved over to the white sausage cauldrons, where the rush had still not stopped.

Special thanks also went to the staff of seamstresses who sacrificed many hours to provide the Guards with new marching costumes.

“It's crazy what you're doing,” said Thomas Rößle and also referred to the many helpers who, among other things, got out of bed at 5 a.m. to set up the guard meeting and “made the deep tunnel hall shake” during the children's ball .

“You are the face of Frohsinn 2000,” the board members announced and also expressed their thanks and praise to one another.

Mayor Frank Zellner did the same, confirming that the many volunteers had “a great carnival season” and, like many others, is already looking forward to next year.

The market town councilors Walter Wurzinger and Christian Quecke then emphasized the regional uniqueness of “Frohsinn 2000”.

The club – like a large family – has an important social function and also offers many young people a home, praised Quecke.

The fact that the club is increasingly struggling with space problems has already been hotly discussed in the market town council.

A uniform solution is therefore important, noted Wurzinger, which the mayor also showed understanding for.
