An event that attracts participants from all over Bavaria.

Maria Diaz is extremely proud of her entire team.

A team of over 20 people supported the newly elected Diaz in organizing the 20th Dorfen City Cup of the figure skating department of the ESC Dorfen.

Maren Traut, Diaz's predecessor, occasionally gave her successor a helping hand by organizing the five award ceremonies together with Lisa Oberth and the representatives of the main Dr.

Emil Rudolf and Sebastian Gerbl, as well as the first mayor of the city of Dorfen, Heinz Grundner and savings bank representative Andreas Schäffner moderated the event.

A total of 300 participants from all over Bavaria would have liked to have attended the event, more than ever before.

But that would have gone beyond the scope, which is why deletions had to be made.

Nevertheless, the total of almost 200 participants was too many for one day, which is why a small part of the cup had to be moved to the Sunday of the following week.

The VFL Waldkraiburg, the EVL Landshut and the ESC Dorfen are looking forward to this and can then send their youngest protégés onto the ice for the obstacle course.

This is also the first big appearance for many Dorfen runners.

Coach Jenny König is particularly pleased about this, as many children from the figure skating department remained from the ice skating courses again this year.

König is also proud of the participants in the elements categories, such as Eni Vinkovic, who skated flawlessly in her category, and also of Miya Zhang and Konrad Georg Graf, who were able to present a freestyle on the ice for the very first time and also fell and fell They ran flawlessly and were rewarded with second and third place.

Jenny and Anna König are the two main coaches in the figure skating department and have been for several years.

Dorfen is not the only contact point for the two trainers, who also train the figure skaters at VFL Waldkraiburg.

The EVL and the ESC have been working together very well for years and not only support each other with trainers.

They share the ice and the training opportunities and actively support each other in organizing the upcoming events.

This year, for example, Wolfgang Veigl, the first head of the VFL's figure skating department, was able to be won over as speaker and moderator in the ice rink, as were the paramedics, Olga and Franz Kolm and Helena Vogelsang.

The two board members share a good friendship here, as do their children, even if Enrique Parache Diaz and Nicolas Veigl then see each other again on the ice as competitors.

But there can be no trace of that, which is what you see at the award ceremony when the two congratulate each other.

In 2001, Stefan Opitz was able to organize the cup in Dorfen for the first time as a board member with equally great support from his team.

Since then it has been held almost every year and is a popular destination for runners from all over Bavaria.

Among other things, Zuzana Smolkova and Viktoria Weiskopf are sure, because he is simply extremely organized from start to finish.

Both have been to Dorfen several times in their role as judges and are happy to return to their old place of work, where both began their figure skating careers in their infancy.
