A young man entered a school in Brandenburg on Friday morning with a knife and a blank gun.

Petershagen - A 22-year-old armed with a knife and a blank gun broke into a school in Petershagen near Berlin on Friday morning.
The police arrested the man shortly afterwards, as a spokesman for the Brandenburg police reported.
Accordingly, both the attacker and a police officer sustained minor injuries.
According to police, a school employee had previously triggered a shooting alarm.
The emergency services were called to the school around 7:15 a.m.
Specially trained emergency services then searched the school building and overpowered the man.
According to police, he was temporarily arrested.
A blank gun and a knife were found on him.
According to the spokesman, the man was injured during the arrest.
The police officer also injured his hand.
No other injuries were initially reported.
According to the information, there were mainly teachers, school employees and employees of a horticultural company in the school at the time.
Students had not yet been to the facility.
Police cordoned off the school following the arrest.
Classes were canceled for the time being.
After the arrest, officers searched the area for other sources of danger or potential accomplices.
The police initially did not want to comment on the 22-year-old's motive.
