It was in a town hall still streaked with traces of soot that the mayor of Saint-Cyr-au-Mont d'or published his message to his constituents.
He confirms the arrest of an individual suspected of the two arson attacks that occurred in the town hall park last week.

, excluding any political motive.
In addition to the intervention of the scientific police on site, it was the provision of video surveillance tapes to the gendarmes of the Lyon section which would have enabled a decisive breakthrough.
Indeed, the images filmed during the second disaster show a man in his forties who could be identified after careful cross-checking.
The latter admitted the facts.
The investigation into “deliberate damage by fire”, opened by the Lyon public prosecutor's office, will have to clarify its motivations.

“Tuesday, in the Municipal Council, all elected officials wanted to express their indignation at these acts, their support for the mayor and the agents and their thanks to all those who came forward to support the municipality in this ordeal,”
said underlined the town hall on its Facebook page.
A solidarity which has extended to neighboring municipalities, since according to our information, the mayor of Ecully is preparing to lend a municipal police vehicle to his Saint-Cyrôt counterpart, while waiting for insurance to renew the only roof of the fleet.
As for the private mansion in which the town hall of this wealthy town in the Lyon suburbs is housed, it will remain unusable for municipal services for at least three weeks.
The latter were therefore relocated to different public buildings.
