"On International Women's Day, the national government decided to eliminate the name of the Hall created in the Casa Rosada to honor the Argentine women who fought for equality and were leaders in different disciplines," wrote the former president.
In the four paragraphs that he published on the social network Twitter/X, Fernández also referred to the new destination of the room.

"On this day, my recognition to all the women who have fought and are fighting to expand their rights and thus achieve equality that is not yet sufficiently recognized," the former president closes the publication.
The decision to change the name had been made by Karina Milei, sister of the President and Secretary General of the Presidency, and was defended by the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni, who said that the previous name "is even discriminatory towards men."

The spokesperson also indicated that the place "was abandoned for ten years, unused," although when questioned by another journalist he stated that he actually meant that "it was in a state of abandonment."
Among the heroes chosen by the Government are Juan Bautista Alberdi, Julio Argentino Roca and Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, Manuel Belgrano, José de San Martín and Carlos Menem.
