Alternative solution after the on-site visit: No photovoltaic system on the meadow in Bayrischzell

Highlights: Alternative solution after the on-site visit: No photovoltaic system on the meadow in Bayrischzell. “We already discussed the ground-mounted PV system at the last meeting. We have had controversial discussions because it is also a fundamental decision as to whether we allow such systems on green spaces and agricultural areas,” said Mayor Georg Kittenrainer. The local council sees no impairment of the already heavily modified “Alte Tann” monument by a solar system.

The open-space photovoltaic system applied for by Tannerhof in Bayrischzell has been rejected.

But there is a compromise with which the project could still be realized.

Bayrischzell – “We already discussed the ground-mounted PV system at the last meeting.

We have had controversial discussions because it is also a fundamental decision as to whether we allow such systems on green spaces and agricultural areas,” said Mayor Georg Kittenrainer.

He emphasized that the local council was also afraid of a copycat effect.

The decision was postponed at the last meeting in order to find solutions together at an on-site meeting at Tannerhof.

On-site visit at Tannerhof in Bayrischzell: No PV system on the meadow

“This appointment was very constructive and very productive,” reported Kittenrainer.

The community would like to promote alternative energies and support the Tannerhof's desire to decouple itself from high electricity prices.

On the other hand, the open-air photovoltaic system on the slope would have been an “eye-catcher” above Bayrischzell.

“I had a very difficult time with that,” emphasized the mayor.

During the inspection, the community representatives and the operating family came up with a good solution.

PV systems should be installed on all suitable roof surfaces, including the “Alte Tann”.

The local council sees no impairment of the already heavily modified “Alte Tann” monument by a solar system.

Furthermore, the parking lot in the lower area of the property, which is also within the scope of the development plan, is to be equipped with photovoltaics.

“There are more and more parking spaces, including in the Alpine region, that are being built over with photovoltaic modules,” said Kittenrainer.

“And this is no longer grassland.

There are cars there and if electricity is generated via the cars, then the local council saw no problems at all during the site visit.”

alternative solution

First, the roof areas should be used and the car parking spaces should be built over, even where they are partially outside the building boundaries and this is possible under building law.

If these measures are not sufficient, some modules could also be installed on the northern slope below house number 32.

“This means that the entire desired facility can be implemented on the Tannerhof property and we do not interfere so prominently with the townscape.

“That’s a good compromise in which the owners would also be involved,” said Kittenrainer.

The Bayrischzell local council rejected the requested open-space photovoltaic system and unanimously approved the jointly developed alternative solution.
