A serious accident occurred on the B17 near Landsberg with several cars involved.
A 31-year-old died and three people were injured.
Landsberg – In the late afternoon, the sirens of the fire brigade and emergency doctor in Landsberg could not be ignored.
The rescue workers were on the way to an accident on the B17 near Lechrain.

Head-on collision on B17 near Landsberg: One dead and three injured in accident near Lechrain
At around 5:03 p.m., a 59-year-old from Peitingen was driving south on the B17.
At Lechrain, for an unknown reason, he veered to the left of the lane and collided with the overtaking car of a 31-year-old from the southern Landsberg district, reports the Landsberg police station.
Both vehicles began to skid, and the overtaking driver entered the oncoming lane, where he collided head-on with an oncoming tractor-trailer.
The Peitinger's vehicle also hit the truck and the car behind it. A fifth vehicle was damaged by flying parts.
The 31-year-old from the southern district was so badly injured in the accident that he died at the scene, according to the police.
The drivers of the three other vehicles directly involved were only slightly injured.
The material damage amounts to over 200,000 euros.
At the request of the public prosecutor, an expert was called in to reconstruct the exact course of the accident.
The B17 was closed for a few hours and the local fire brigade set up a diversion route.
