Mayor Florian Hoffmann had some good news at the local council meeting.
The decision-making committee of the LEADER action group LAG Ammersee has voted in favor of project funding for the bike park amounting to 130,000 euros.
Utting - A boon for the budget, because the promised 20 percent funding from the Bavarian State Sports Association BLSV has disappeared.
That would only have worked if TSV Utting had acted as the developer and run the bike park as a closed sports facility.
New terrain leads to new planning - and additional costs
The local councilors didn't want that, but they did want close cooperation with the neighboring sports club.
From the outset, the plan was to create a course with curves, waves, jumps and hollows that would be accessible to everyone and designed for skateboards, inline skateboards, longboards, scooters, BMX bikes and normal bikes, balance bikes and even wheelchairs.
After the presentation, an agreement was reached on a possible location of around 2,000 square meters on Auraystrasse adjacent to the TSV sports center.
The cost framework for the first draft planning was around 236,000 euros.
However, as part of the involvement of public authorities in the necessary adjustment of the land use plan, a problem arose: the planned route lay over a main water pipe that supplies Utting with drinking water and cannot be built over.
As a result, the bike park must be moved to the eastern part of the property.
The redesign necessary due to the replanning drove up the price due to the changed terrain structure and route as well as the general increase in prices.
Now there is talk of around 287,400 euros.
At that time, the committee took note of the replanning and additional costs and voted unanimously in favor of building the bike park.
The current planning of the bike park refers to an undeveloped meadow with a slope in the eastern part of the property, so that the adjacent landscape protection area and biotopes are not affected.
The local council approved the preliminary draft from the Outer Economic Area Planning Association and commissioned the administration to prepare it for early public participation.
