On Monday, France became the first country to include abortion (voluntary termination of pregnancy) in its Constitution.
This Friday, March 8, International Women's Rights Day, the sealing ceremony of the Constitution will be held on Place Vendôme at 12 p.m.
This is the first sealing ceremony open to the public in history.
There have been fourteen “sealings” of laws since 1946, the last one dates back to 2008.

16 years ago Rachida Dati led a sealing ceremony
The Minister of Culture Rachida Dati recalled on X this Friday morning that she had led the last sealing ceremony in 2008, while she was Minister of Justice under Nicolas Sarkozy.
It was a constitutional revision on the modernization of institutions.
