The European Commission has given the green light to a 1.1 billion euro state aid scheme for Italy to support investments in the production of tools necessary to encourage the transition towards a zero-emission economy, in line with the Green Deal.
The measure, partly financed by the Pnrr, will be open to companies that produce batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, heat pumps, electrolysers, carbon capture and storage tools, as well as components and critical raw materials necessary for the manufacture of the equipment.
The aid will be provided in the form of direct grants.
