Organic waste fermentation plant and biodrome, parking space management and problem young people, financial burdens on citizens and desired traffic relief: many topics were discussed at the citizens' meeting.

Around 180 people from Maisacher came to the community center in Gernlinden.

Maisach - In his hour-long lecture, Mayor Hans Seidl addressed many projects.

For example, the planned wind turbines: Planning has progressed furthest for the site near Rottbach/Prack, where construction could begin at the beginning of 2026.

Then the renovation of the community center: It will cost ten to twelve million euros and will not start until spring 2025 at the earliest.

And the place of remembrance of the fight against the civilian pilots on Fursty: The area at gate 6 including the playground is scheduled to open at Pentecost.

Noise and smell from fermentation plant?

Finances were also discussed.

The good news: The debt level at the end of 2023 was three euros per Maisacher, and the municipality also has 38.5 million euros in reserves.

But expenses are increasing, with the district levy alone amounting to around 14 million euros.

Seidl therefore once again raised the question of whether further rounds of austerity were necessary and whether offers should be scaled back or whether citizens should instead contribute more together, including financially.

The latter is being considered by increasing property tax B and water prices, which will rise from 1.13 euros per cubic meter to “almost two euros”.

There were several questions about the proposed organic waste fermentation plant.

Seidl confirmed that the location between State Road 2054, the railway tracks/commercial area on Frauenstrasse and the residential area north of Malchinger Strasse is currently the hottest candidate.

But nothing has been decided or planned.

A profitability calculation is currently being carried out.

You will need organic waste from the Fürstenfeldbruck, Dachau and Starnberg districts, as well as “a little something from Munich”.

However, there will still be around 20 truck trips per working day.

Noise and odor emissions would be carefully examined in a separate procedure.

High requirements for radiation protection

Concerns about radioactive contamination have been expressed in connection with the planned biodrome on Fursty.

The town hall boss said there was “little to no danger,” otherwise you wouldn’t be allowed to live next to a hospital.

There are high safety requirements in the area of radiation protection.

He is much more concerned about the traffic that will be caused by the planned 1,600 apartments on Fursty and the technology campus.

The burden on Gernlinden must be alleviated.

Yes, Seidl answered a citizen's question, including a still possible eastern bypass for Gernlinden.

Parish vicar Andreas Weiger addressed a hot spot in Maisach: On Saturdays, young people would insult people at Edeka.

Seidl replied that police and security guards were always on site.

Nothing more can be done at the moment, especially since these are not young people from the town: “They come by S-Bahn from Olching and Gröbenzell because they feel undisturbed and unrecognized in Maisach.”

A citizen asked about the proposed parking space management: “Is it profitable?” Seidl explained that the municipality does not want to make money from this, but rather wants to keep the streets free and safe in the long term.

Many narrow streets in Gernlinden are currently extremely blocked by parking.

But because legal matters still need to be clarified, the system with parking permits that can be purchased in the town hall will not start until 2025.
