A mobilization for March 8 with a strong connotation: expressing solidarity towards the two girls who found themselves testifying in the Tempio Pausania trial where Ciro Grillo and three of his Genoese friends, Edoardo Capitta, Vittorio Lauria, are accused of gang rape and Francesco Corsiglia.
The feminist associations of northern Sardinia have decided to take to the square in Tempio and to reach the vicinity of the courthouse in a procession, where two other trial hearings took place yesterday and today, to celebrate International Women's Day.
The strength of the slogans lies entirely in the banners: "Sex without consent is rape", "Secondary victimization is violence".
Then the shared statement: "We are all injured parties."
Maria Francesca Fantato of Noi donne 2005 explains: "We are still forced to deal with violence against women, it seemed important to us to choose Tempio for today's demonstration".
Patrizia Desole of Prospettiva Donna underlines that the Italian-Norwegian student, alleged victim of the violence alleged against the four defendants, "has become the emblem of all women who have the courage to denounce patriarchal violence".

The media coverage of the trial was in the spotlight, especially when it came to recounting the barrage of cross-examination between the student and the defense lawyers.
"The trials - explains Rita Nonnis of the Coordinamento 3 Donne di Sardegna - do not always guarantee the respect and dignity of those who report, so much so that the European Court has called Italy more than once. The fair trial represents the institutional guarantee to violence against women and the fight against gender inequality".
For the defense team, everything is taking place in compliance with the presumption of innocence: "The criminal trial is suffering for everyone, injured parties and defendants. I don't think anything has ever happened here that wasn't strictly necessary for the investigation of the facts, with the utmost attention to the people", clarifies the lawyer Mariano Mameli.
