Erding - Tough action instead of symbolic politics: The public prosecutor's office and the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office used the nationwide day of action to combat misogyny on the Internet for a large-scale raid.
A trail led to the northern district on Thursday.
Cell phones and storage media were seized.
The investigators also worked in the Freising district as well as in Bamberg, Fürth, Augsburg and Nuremberg, among others.
The suspects are eight men and two women between the ages of 24 and 68, the investigating authorities said in a joint statement.
The action took place nationwide under the leadership of the Federal Criminal Police Office and the project group against misogyny on the Internet.
There were threats, interrogations and searches.
The majority of the crimes involve personal insults and seditious appeals on social media channels against female politicians.
According to the LKA and the Attorney General's Office, harassment, stalking, threats and gender-specific verbal and physical attacks against women are increasing - often fueled by Instagram & Co. ham
