The 5-year-old found relief in a toilet block in Munich, but then couldn't get out.
Munich - A five-year-old boy was rescued from a toilet facility yesterday afternoon (March 7th) by the Munich fire department.
Emergency services were called to a gas station on Wilhelm-Hale-Strasse with the message “Open the door”.
The background was that the little boy was traveling with his parents.
During a quick stop at the gas station, the boy urgently needed to use the toilet.
After receiving a chip at the register, he entered the toilet.
When he had finished his business, the door could no longer be opened.
Despite all efforts to open the door, they were unsuccessful and the fire department was asked for assistance.

The firefighters initially reassured the worried parents, contacted the boy and assured him that they would rescue him quickly.
With a little manual skills and a pair of pliers, they managed to open the door without any damage and bring the family back together.
The family was then able to complete their involuntarily extended pit stop and continue their journey.
