Highlights: Legal dispute over Kramertunnel: Tyrolean construction company applies again. A decision on the future of construction work on the Kramer Tunnel is expected to be made in March. The Schulz company has been active again in the north for around three weeks. The next goal there is to build access from the federal highway to the tunnel. To do this, the groundwater trough that was newly built last year must be crossed, which will enable the connection from Burgrain to the Garmisch district.

The search for a new construction company continues: a verdict from the public procurement chamber in the Kramertunnel case is still expected.

The Tyrolean company has applied again.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen – A decision on the future of construction work on the Kramer Tunnel is expected to be made in March.

As is well known, the hearing took place before the public procurement chamber of the government of Upper Bavaria in Munich at the end of February.

No result so far, but that is expected in the next few weeks.

When it comes to commissioning a new tunnel construction company, things won't last that long.

In the outdoor area, however, work is already clearly underway again on the north portal.

The company BeMo Tunneling from Innsbruck, which was part of the previous Kramertunnel working group, has brought the Weilheim State Building Authority before this committee.

Curiously, the Tyroleans had previously applied again for a commitment to the remaining construction work - despite the dispute over additional demands in the double-digit million range (we reported).

The authority in Weilheim, which manages the project, politely declined and excluded the bidder despite new subcontractors.

Those responsible in Innsbruck want to have it checked whether this is legal.

The verdict is still pending.

There is also no water level report from the building authority.

Raphael Zuber, the person responsible for major projects, only assured one thing: “We are sticking to the exclusion.”

Skirmishes have a slowing effect on the entire project

The renewed skirmish continues to have a slowing effect on the overall project.

Because Zuber also reveals that the submission of offers from the remaining bidders has been completed.

“The review is in its final stages.” However, an award can only take place once the review process has been completed and no appeal has been lodged against it.

At least the takeover of the equipment and building materials has now been completed.

In some areas inside the tunnel, work is being carried out to correct defects.

In addition, companies make structural preparations on site so that a subsequent contractor can intervene as quickly as possible.

Things still look much better outside at the ends of the tunnel.

The Schulz company has been active again in the north for around three weeks.

The next goal there is to build access from the federal highway to the tunnel.

To do this, the groundwater trough that was newly built last year must be crossed, which will enable the connection from Burgrain to the Garmisch district in the future.

The subsoil has already been filled in the past few days.

According to Zuber, the schedule still applies: This year, the north junction should be completely completed and opened to traffic.

In the south near Grainau things are likely to get livelier again after Easter.

The first thing to do there is to build the large roundabout in order to be able to connect the bypass to the existing road network using the two new Loisach bridges.

Zuber says the planned start of work is April 15th.
