Nadia and Kamel were sentenced Friday evening by the Évry-Courcouronnes criminal court to suspended prison terms for these violations.

“This is a case which perfectly illustrates the disastrous consequences of drugs,” analyzes the prosecutor in his indictment.

This Friday, March 8, Nadia and Kamel appear before the Évry-Courcouronnes criminal court.

Both are both victims and defendants.

The couple was convicted of aggravated spousal violence committed in Longjumeau on September 16.

She was sentenced to 10 months in prison and her partner was sentenced to 8 months in prison.

For two years, they are required to treat their addictions, and… banned from making contact.

On September 16, Nadia spent the evening at Kamel's in Longjumeau.

Without resources for several months, she is hosted free of charge by this man whom she presents as a “long-time friend”, although they are in a civil partnership.

In the living room, both drink, smoke joints and take cocaine.

The evening gets out of hand when Nadia loses her temper with Kamel.

Convinced that her friend has slipped “weird medicines” into his drink, she goes to get a meat pick from the kitchen, to, she says, “intimidate him”.

“She put the meat pick to my throat and hit me in the arm with a bread knife,” Kamel says.

Indeed, the forensic doctor who examined him noted traces of scratches on the neck and a wound on the arm whose appearance “corresponds to a sharp object which could be a bread knife”.

Faced with her friend's anger and threats, Kamel goes to get a knife in the kitchen.

“I wanted to show her that I too could threaten her with a knife,” he explains.

With this weapon, he wounds her left arm.

Traces of blood on the doors of the building

In court, Nadia does not deny having lost her temper.

“He poisoned me with drugs, and paid friends 20,000 euros to kill me,” she told the judge.

She admits to having threatened Kamel with a meat pick.

However, the defendant does not “remember the bread knife”.

Alerted by the screams coming from the apartment, neighbors called the police.

One of them claims that she herself cleaned the traces of blood left by the duo in the stairwell and door handles of the building.

At the police station, Nadia and Kamel admit the facts.

Placed under judicial supervision since the events, they were prohibited from approaching each other, speaking to each other and had to treat their addictions.

Injunctions that Nadia says she followed.

Kamel, for his part, clearly did not go to see a doctor.

“I use cocaine and cannabis every Friday and Saturday, never during the week,” he said proudly in court.

One of the two assessors nevertheless pointed out to him that “even on weekends it is a crime”.
