A 30-year-old Italian man got 21 years in jail Friday for killing his 31-year-old girlfriend in northern Italy last year.
Clerk Henrique Cappellari was found guilty of punching and kicking to death his fiancée Giulia Rigon, a shop assistant from Asiago, and was sentenced by the court of assizes of Vicenza.
The prosecution, represented by prosecutors Serena Chimichi and Alessia Grenna, had asked for a life sentence for the man, and may appeal.
