Microsoft said today that Russian-sponsored hacking group Midnight Blizzard has gained access to some of its digital source code archives and internal systems after an attack detected in January.
The Guardian reports it.
The Redmond company revealed in mid-January that it had been the victim of a cyber attack carried out by Russian government spies.
In particular, the email accounts of company employees and managers also fell under the attacks of hackers.
A few days later, the technology giant claimed that it was not the only target of the operation.
In a new blog post, Microsoft had highlighted that "the same actor has targeted other organizations. As part of our usual notification processes, we have begun notifying victims."
