is making a comeback.
Canceled in 2020 due to the health crisis, the event also missed 2022 due to delays accumulated in the various national competitions.
First scheduled for December 16, 2023 in New Delhi, the
Miss World 2023
election was postponed to March 9 due to political unrest in India.

A total of 117 nations were due to be represented on stage at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai but five of them withdrew in recent weeks: Luxembourg, Rwanda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands and Laos.
Compared to Miss World 2021, Albania, Armenia, Bahamas, Equatorial Guinea, Iceland, Saint Lucia and Sint Maarten are absent.

In terms of arrivals, Togo will participate for the first time.
As for Australia, Bangladesh, Burma, Croatia, Denmark, Ethiopia, Greece, Guatemala, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Morocco, Martinique, Montenegro, New Zealand, Romania, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Thailand and Zimbabwe, they are making a comeback.

, Miss France 2020 and top 10 in the Miss Universe 2021 competition, 111 participants are claiming the crown of Miss World 2023. The youngest is the Bulgarian Ivana Sabeva, aged only 16.
The eldest in the promotion are Julia Edima (Cameroon), Valierie Alcide (Haiti), Ivanna McMahon (Ireland), Lucia Arellano (Peru) and Imen Mehrzi (Tunisia) at the age of 28.
On the height chart, there is no limit to 1m70 as in the Miss France competition, several participants are less.
The shortest in the Miss World 2023 class is Poelano Mothisi from Lesotho at 1m55.
The tallest is the Senegalese Fatou Lo at 1m88.
