The Starnberg building committee has approved the planning of the playground in Percha-Nord.
Realization should take place from the end of the year.
Percha – swings, a play area, a cable car with a ramp, a football field and a lot more: the planned Percha-Nord public playground on Gestütsweg should have something for all children and young people from one to 16 years old.
At its most recent meeting, the city council's building committee unanimously approved the basic principles of the draft planning and set the cost framework at 190,000 euros.
The goal is now to get a building permit by the middle of the year so that implementation can begin at the end of the year.
The playground has long been a wish of numerous citizens in the residential area around Heimatshausener Straße.
There was already a first preliminary draft in January 2023, which, according to the city administration, essentially corresponded to the wishes of the residents.
This has been deepened, explained building authority manager Regina Lechner at the meeting.
This also included reducing costs and taking into account the city's strained budget situation by replacing equipment.
“The planning is further divided into three main areas,” explained Lechner.
From the Gestütsweg, visitors first reach the generation and toddler area for girls and boys up to the age of eight.
This includes, among other things, a four-seater spring seesaw, a team swing, a generation swing and a sand play device called the “Beetle Combi”, which is intended to replace an originally planned sandbox.
Table tennis table and wooden shelter provided
The area can be seen “very well” from the asphalted main square in the middle of the playground, said Lechner.
On the main square itself there is a table tennis table and a wooden shelter.
On one side there is a “forest hideout” play area for balancing, climbing and sliding, on the other side there is a 30-meter-long cable car with a ramp and, to the north, there is a soccer field with a five-a-side goal.
A double rod mesh fence with a ball catch fence at the top is planned at this point towards the field.
“The natural, bee-friendly and predominantly native planting divides the play areas, creates shade and visually encloses the playground,” said the meeting template for the further concept.
A Benje hedge to be built by the municipal depot is planned along the stud path - a hedge that is usually made from loose deposits of wood cuttings such as branches and twigs.
“To improve traffic safety, lane markings should also be implemented parallel to the edge of the road,” the administration continued.
Praise in the building committee for playground plans
The building committee praised the idea.
“A big thank you to everyone involved, including the citizens,” said Ludwig Jägerhuber (CSU).
The administration's efforts to reduce costs through replanning or replacing playground equipment is "a constructive way to implement such projects even in financially difficult times."
Also Dr.
Franz Sengl (Greens) and Dr.
Johannes Glogger (WPS) commented favorably.
Christiane Falk (SPD) offered to establish contact with parents who wanted to take part in the earthworks.
A fundraising campaign by the citizens had already raised a good 2,000 euros.

Falk also wanted to know whether attractions such as the table tennis table or the soccer field could be created and made available this year.
Building authority manager Lechner understood this, but mentioned a catch.
There is currently an above-ground power line running over the area.
“This is particularly difficult when it comes to putting the football field into operation,” she said.
The city is therefore also dependent on Bayernwerk, which first has to lay the line.
