This year around 45 volunteers came to the annual Ramadama campaign in Forstinning.
They cleared the area of around two cubic meters of rubbish and then treated themselves to a snack.
Forstinning – The annual Forstinninger Ramada took place as announced on the first weekend in March.
When the weather was nice, around 45 volunteers came together this year, significantly more than last year.
In addition to the familiar faces and a pleasing number of children, members of the Mach-mit association and the Forstinning youth fire brigade also took part.
The collectors received high-visibility vests, gloves, garbage bags, collection buckets and pliers from building yard stocks.
The fire brigade's team vehicle was used to transport people to more distant areas.
The hard-working helpers cleared Forstinning of rubbish, which was mainly found on the arterial roads and in bushes.
At the end of the collection campaign, the community donated a small snack for the collectors, which was particularly welcomed by the children.
In the afternoon, Forstinningen construction yard employees collected around two cubic meters of garbage.
As was the case last year, the finds mainly consisted of bottles, smokers' estate, food packaging and plastic fragments.
Special features this time were pieces of Styrofoam, two travel bags with shoes, a damp bag of wall plaster and several pieces of weathered plastic pipe.
Thanks to higher participation, the collection result increased compared to the previous year.
