The Eging am See local council has approved new interim buildings in Pullman City - another step towards the reopening of the western city.
Eging am See - After the major fire with millions in damages in the western town of “Pullman City” in Lower Bavaria, reconstruction is progressing gradually.
On Thursday evening, March 7th, the local councilors in Eging am See (Passau district) unanimously approved new interim buildings.
Branch manager Wolfgang Schwarzbach announced this on Friday.
In doing so, the councilors paved the way for reopening.
Months after the major fire in “Pullman City”, the operators plan to put the western city back into operation in mid-April.
The decision of the Eging am See local council heralds the beginning of the reconstruction.

The company behind “Pullman City” had, among other things, submitted building applications for interim buildings to the market town council.
However, the Passau district office still has to issue the final building permit for the new riding arena and for modeling an area of the terrain, said Schwarzbach.
New riding arena and wooden saloon – expected to reopen in mid-April
A spokesman for Westernstadt told the
German Press Agency (dpa
) on Friday that he was confident that approval from the Passau district office would be given quickly.
Operations could then resume on April 13th.

According to information from Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR),
the riding hall will
serve as a temporary replacement for the burnt down music hall.
In addition, according to managing directors Claus Six and Ernst Grünberger, a wooden hut will soon be built on the new “Mainstreet” as alternative accommodation for the saloon that was destroyed by the fire.
There are also plans to relocate the playground to make room for construction vehicles at its current location.
Fire with millions in damages at the end of January – support from politics
On January 21st, a Sunday, a fire caused severe devastation in the western town in the Bavarian Forest.
About a third of “Main Street” was completely destroyed.
Parts of the event restaurant were also seriously damaged.
According to police reports, damage amounting to millions was caused.
Fortunately, only two people were slightly injured in the fire.
Park employees managed to evacuate the affected buildings in time.
Dozens of animals were also brought to safety as a precaution, including donkeys, horses, goats and llamas.

Firefighters battled the flames for hours.
The damage was enormous.
Now the reconstruction is progressing.

According to police, there was no evidence of intentional or negligent setting of the fire.
A few days after the fire, the operators of the adventure park announced that they would be offering the full program again in the spring, despite the severe damage.
There was also support from politics: Prime Minister Markus Söder and Tourism Minister Michaela Kaniber (CSU), among others, took a look at the damage on site after the fire.

The park for cowboy fans attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
Depending on the weather there are pony rides.
Children can visit a small animal enclosure and meet the Ice Princess, Snow White and Co.
