- How did you end up in “LOL: who laughs, comes out!”

?

Redouane BOUGHERABA.

-

Production asked me.

My name has come up a lot in the comments for two or three seasons.

So they contacted me among the first to participate in the show and as there was a great cast, I said “come on, let's go”.

What made you agree?

Compared to other previous editions, the winnings for the participants were increased, so there was a large sum to be won for the associations.

I defend Lands of Hope which works in Africa to provide access to water and take care of orphans.

It was the right opportunity.

And not for the concept of the show?

It was really for the association.

Because I'm not going to make something up for you, out of the four seasons, I don't think I've even seen an episode.

I've seen extracts with Hakim Jemili and Pierre Niney but I'm so busy with touring here and there, with films, it's so time-consuming that I don't have time to watch anything.

How did you approach this experience?

I told myself that if I didn't laugh, I could help people who didn't have water and children who didn't have families.

So it really took me to heart.

For my joker card, I had planned a machine to clone and transform people

on Prime Video

Did you feel a certain pressure to come last to Jonathan Cohen, Pierre Niney, Leïla Bekhti…?

None !

We make jokes, we're not surgeons, we don't do open heart surgery.

And then the casting of season 4 was a superb vintage, with very talented artists, it was really great.

What was your technique for not laughing?

I went there telling myself that I had to hold on.

I tried not to look my opponents in the eye, so I looked left and right.

But the filming was very long, almost 12 hours.

Several times I almost broke down, it was really hard not to laugh.

Among your opponents, who did you fear the most?

Jérôme Commandeur started very strong, he made a lot of mistakes.

Unfortunately some did not make it because the filming lasted 12 hours to ultimately keep 7 x 25 minutes.

Was knowing some of your opponents an advantage or a disadvantage?

It was an inconvenience because we know each other very well.

Just looking at Alban Ivanov's face, who screams, who makes grimaces, can be eliminatory.

He was super dangerous.

Same for Jérôme Commandeur and Jean-Pascal Zadi.

has become a phenomenon

What did you have planned for your joker card?

I had planned a great joker card that I couldn't do because the show was already over.

I had planned a machine to clone people.

I explained that for us, the artists, it is very difficult to multiply ourselves between shows, tours, films, interviews.

So to make our lives easier, I have a cloning machine invented by Professor Raouf, a Tunisian professor from Marseille nicknamed the scholar of Marseille!

I had a double bottom curtain system with lookalikes.

I called Marina Foïs and I made her look alike appear in a small model called Mimi Foïs, Jérôme Commandeur in a large model it was Jérôme Gromangeur.

The similarities were obvious (laughs).

What moments were the most difficult?

Audrey's wild card was exceptional.

That of Jérôme, the branle du Poitou, too.

The sequence around the piano was deadly, several jumped.

We're not singers, we're comedians and it's proven.

The worst part is that we took it at face value, we wanted to give our best voice.

Alban Ivanov only has one vocal cord and it is hoarse.

But actually, throughout filming, we made lots of jokes, there were some that you didn't see.

Finally, the hardest part was the arrival of Afida Turner...

I'm a world goatee champion, little with my brothers and my sister, we play goatee and we put real pies on each other.

So I couldn't lose on a goatee.

I was really focused and the production wasn't fair, they brought in Afida Turner.

When she arrived, it was tragedy because I knew it was over for me.

They said to themselves:

"To get him out, we're going to send the girl from the Internet"

, the scoundrels.

What did you say to yourself when you saw her?

She's a pop-reality icon.

Like I said on the show, normally, Afida, you don't have to see her in real life.

You have to see her on your phone but at no time can Afida be in the same room as you, you must not cross paths with her, it's still spooky, it's not a normal thing, she's unreal, it's of the order of utopia, it is a legend.

And to see her appear with her goatee, it was the combo.

With its eco-friendly aluminum outfit that if it plugs in, it charges your phone... It was a photovoltaic panel, it was exceptional!

And to make you crack up, she touched you...

It wasn't fair play, we don't touch the candidates anyway!

I'm in the final, I want to win, plus I'm ticklish, and she comes with wandering hands.

She sent little hands, she tried, she thought we were in a reality TV show, she thought it was “Temptation Island”.

I broke down.

We had been there for 12 hours, I let my guard down when I saw her.

Did you have the opportunity to chat a little with her at the end of filming?

She disappeared, they wrapped her in cellophane, bubble wrap, put her back in her box and she went back to Los Angeles.

It nevertheless remained "soft", it could have been more tactile, closer, sexier...

It wouldn't have been the same show, it wouldn't have been on the same channel, it would have been encrypted, there would have been had a pay-per-view (laughs).

I was super offensive!

We were filmed for 12 hours but the production made choices during editing

on Prime Video

Not too disappointed to have lost like that?

No, I'm happy for Audrey.

It's a game, whether I win or lose, it wasn't going to change the course of my life.

I know we did something great for our respective associations so I can't be disappointed in any way.

The associations are super happy, they made videos for us to thank us for the 87,500 euros they each received.

As much in your shows, you do not hesitate to make fun of the spectators in the front row, as much in “LOL: who laughs, get out!”

", you didn't seem very offensive.

For what ?

I was super offensive!

We were filmed for 12 hours but the production made choices during editing.

If you interview Philippe Lacheau, any candidate or technicians, everyone will tell you that I was offensive, I gave my body and soul.

I heard people say:

“You didn’t go there”

,

“You were scared”

.

But I really went there.

Philippe Lacheau even said to me at the end:

“Damn, you hit it big, I’ve never laughed so much!”

»

.

I'm not the worst off, we don't also see McFly and Carlito and Jean-Pascal Zadi.

I explained a little to the production, they told me that they tried to tell a story around everyone.

But now, some are erased, others are highlighted.

It's their show, not mine.

We don't have the final cut, I can't do anything, I'm not an editor.

If people want to see what I'm capable of, they should watch my show on Prime Video, come see me perform, watch my films or my 13-hour improvisation videos on YouTube.

You recently participated in “Hot Ones”…

It's been a year since I was asked to do “Hot Ones” but I refused because I'm super sensitive to chili peppers, my mouth is really fragile, when I travel, we put the fragile sticker on my mouth.

It was the hardest moment of my life.

I could no longer speak French, I lost my Latin because I was in so much pain.

From what sauce did it start to really sting?

The first is a slightly spicy jam, but from four or five, it starts to heat up;

six and seven, I don't talk about them;

eight, we are in seventh heaven;

nine, we are at the gates of hell;

and ten, it's a volcano that's served on your mouth.

But the worst thing was that it stayed in my stomach and it burned, I felt like there was a heart beating in my stomach.

And that same evening, I played in the Paris suburbs.

You are currently in India to shoot a film.

What is he talking about ?

With my brother, Ali Bougheraba, I am filming my first film as a lead called

Délocalisé

.

It's the story of a worker from a mattress factory in the north of France who is relocated to India so there is a reclassification policy.

But he doesn't want to give up on the matter as he has just become foreman.

He tells himself that he will earn a good living in India, that he will be a pasha there.

He convinces his wife to go with him to India.

But, once there, he discovers that his salary is indexed in rupees.

Suddenly, it’s a descent into hell.

He's an Indian in the city, but reversed, a Marseillais in Calcutta.

Who are you sharing the poster with?

The woman is Vanessa Guide, Josiane Balasko plays my mother-in-law, Djimo plays my friend.

There is also Alex Levotomos, a new talent and Nino Arial.

The release is scheduled for early 2025.

And in June, you are taking over the three biggest French venues with your new show

On m'appelle

...

I'm going to do two Bercys for the Parisians, an LDLC Arena in Lyon and I'll end in apotheosis in Marseille on June 22 at the Vélodrome stadium .

It's a kid's dream come true.

It’s magnificent what’s happening to me, it’s beyond my expectations.

It's filling up well, we had a great tour, I master my subject, I know what I'm saying on stage, I'm going to do everything to be funny.

There are going to be guests, it’s going to be a great show.

My dream was to fill the Olympia, I did it.

Afterwards it was Le Palais des sports, I did ten.

Above, there is Bercy, I am going to do two.

And even above, there is the Stade Vélodrome which I am going to do.

The circle is complete.
