Traunstein - Due to warnings of a possible rampage, exceptionally strict security checks were carried out before the trial surrounding the death of student Hanna at the Traunstein regional court.

The presiding judge Jacqueline Aßbichler emphasized on Friday, March 8th, before the start of the hearing in the full courtroom: “We have everything under control, we have done everything”.

She added that anyone who wanted to leave the room for this reason could do so.

As a precautionary measure, the curtains of the courtroom were closed to prevent any view from outside.

The young woman celebrated in the “Eiskeller” club in Aschau im Chiemgau on the night of October 3, 2022 and made her way home in the early hours of the morning - but she never reached her home.

A few hours later she was found dead in the Prien River.

The public prosecutor's office is of the opinion that the now 22-year-old defendant attacked Hanna on her way home for sexual reasons, hit her on the head and threw her injured into the Bärbach, which flows into the Prien.

According to the autopsy report, the student drowned.
