There are many
rituals
that use amulets, those artifacts that have been used for millennia to invoke protection or attract good fortune.
Mystical disciplines such as gem therapy use elaborate talismans with stones and crystals in order to “balance and purify” our energies.
It is enough to think about Ancient Egypt, with its countless
amulets
in the mortuary chambers of pharaohs, to know that ever since civilizations cultivated their spirituality, they created these objects and have always placed powerful intentions in them.
In Turkey they have the nazar (or Turkish Eye), in China Feng Shui offers several such as coins of abundance or amulets for business and prosperity.
The author
Phyllis Curott
has recovered in her book
Spells to Live Well
(Ed. Kepler) a more recent amulet, from the 19th century, which is used in a simple ritual to attract good luck, which can be replicated at home.
This “spell,” as Curott calls it, was originally published by American folklorist Charles Godfrey Leland in his
Etruscan Roman Remains
, a classic that documented numerous pagan ceremonies performed in Italy and first went on sale in 1892.
Fascinated by this European country, where he died in 1903, during his lifetime Leland recovered and recorded an ancient
dream amulet
.
Curott writes that this simple ritual “will bring you good luck” and will encourage sweet dreams and “good fortune” to manifest in your life.
Ancient Italian amulet spell for good luck
Unlike other more complex rituals or those that require a greater amount of implements or knowledge, this “spell” is very easy to do at home and requires the amulet to spend an entire night near us to fill us with the energy we have asked for. .
Amulets from civilizations such as the Egyptian survive and are present.

You will only need
two oak twigs
and a
piece of red wool
approximately 30 centimeters long.
To do the ritual and “cast the spell,” I followed these steps:
Thank the oak tree you got the twigs from.
Carefully place them on top of each other to form an “X.”
Wind the red wool in the place where both twigs cross, joining them.
Bring the amulet close to your heart to charge it with your intention to manifest good luck and good fortune in your life.
Place the amulet next to your bed and, before going to sleep, repeat:
“It is not oak that I put here, but good fortune, by its grace, may it never pass away, but may it always be in my abode.”
After receiving good fortune, I returned the twigs to nature and shared with someone less fortunate.

Good fortune!
The spell is cast.
Act accordingly.
In the morning,
hang the amulet in your house to attract good luck
.
When good fortune comes your way, untie the twigs and return them to the tree with gratitude.
Now, one step you shouldn't forget is to
share some of your good luck with someone less fortunate
.
Being able to share and circulate energy is part of the everyday magic that is present in all of us if we want it.
