Mirja du Mont has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time.
She draws attention to the topic on Instagram and launches an important appeal.
Hamburg – Mirja du Mont (48) was diagnosed with skin cancer.
The actress herself shared this in her Instagram stories on March 7th.
This is not the first time the 48-year-old has struggled with the insidious disease and is making an urgent appeal to her followers.
Mirja du Mont: “I had to have skin cancer removed today”
“Guys, please go to the dermatologist for cancer screening.
I had to have my non-melanoma skin cancer removed today,” du Mont wrote on Instagram.
She published two photos showing the affected area.
The first looks surprisingly harmless.
Only a slight bump can be seen on the skin.
The second picture shows the area after the procedure.
It was covered with thin plasters.
With two emojis attached as praying hands, the 48-year-old apparently wants to express how grateful she is for the good outcome of the treatment.
Because this wasn't her first cancer diagnosis.
Mirja du Mont: That was the second cancer diagnosis
The actress was diagnosed with white skin cancer in 2021.
At that time, too, she made the diagnosis public on Instagram.
She discovered a change in the skin on her stomach and went for a check-up.
“It was a local basal cell carcinoma, which did not spread further in the body after it was removed,” she explained and immediately gave the all-clear: the basal cell carcinoma was removed.
At that time too, she appealed to her followers: “Please go for skin cancer screening regularly.”
