Specially trained emergency services searched the school.
An armed man was finally arrested.
Petershagen - A man with a knife and a gun was arrested at a school in Petershagen near Berlin on Friday morning.
That is what the police said.
An amok alarm had previously been triggered.
Accordingly, the emergency services were called to the school around 7:15 a.m. because a man with a weapon was said to have entered the school.
Specially trained emergency services then searched the school building and overpowered the man.
According to the spokesman, he was temporarily arrested.
A gun and a knife were found on him.
It is still unclear whether the weapon is a blank pistol or a sharp weapon.
According to the spokesman, the man was injured during the arrest.
A police officer also injured his hand.
No other injuries were initially reported.
According to the information, there were mainly teachers in the school at the time.
It is not yet known whether and how many students were already in the building.
The police cordoned off the school.
